PIAZZA SEMPIONE Fall / Winter 2011-2012 Presentation

Milan's centuries-old La Casa dei Demoni from Renaissance era was a perfectly matching scenery for the fall collection of a well-known Italian brand Piazza Sempione. We had a pleasure to see and photograph for You that extraordinary  presentation. By a courtesy of an American photographer Joe Shildhorn we have an opportunity to present You some of the looks from the lookbook that we selected for You.As Nicole Phelps writing for Style.com perfectly described the atmosphere of the place and its influence on the collection: The house's fading wallpaper was reflected in the print of a sleeveless dress; the peeling paint had echoes in the frayed-fabric selvage ruffle extending from shoulder to hem on a camel shift; and one of its rambling, run-down rooms inspired the abandoned-mansion watercolor print of a third short frock. Designers of the brand Ioanna Soleas and Daniele Calcaterra created this fantastic collection. As Soleas describes it : never too dressed up, never too dressed down. The first collection of Piazza Sempione was presented in Milan in 1991. All of the clothes are 100% made in Italy. Except from their headquarters in Milan, they have showrooms in New York, Düsseldorf, Paris and Tokyo, a retail network and a strong presence in the most exclusive department and specialty stores around the world.‘We make clothing that does not ask for attention because it naturally receives it: our collections speak for themselves. We select the most prestigious materials by working with the top fabric manufacturers in Italy’ (www.piazzasempione.com).
