MILENA IN JOHN RICHMOND’S SHOW FALL/WINTER 2011/12

Seductive, glamorous and self-confident-this is a woman that John Richmond presented in his latest collection during Milan Fashion Week. The show took place on the 24th of February in a beautiful location of Giardini di Porta Venezia. The iconic British designer played the card of elegance introducing a woman with pale skin, purple lips and crimped hair-the ultimate rock chic. A woman who knows who she is and whats she wants is the women seen once again at John Richmond's presentation of his new collection.It's when the night falls that the Richmond women shows her most seductive and original side, wrote Gianmarco Gentile for The Fashion Insider Magazine.
The show started with cool and sexy electronic sounds just like the models who were rocking down the runway to the beat.At the beginning we could see Richmond’s typical rock chick outfits featured by provocative sheer and leather pieces livened up with fur accents . The designer is undoubtedly a master and a pioneer in the art of using and adapting leather.The show was followed by elegant, male inspired tuxedos.The collection then transformed into the glittery ‘party girl’ pieces featured by sequined and Swarovski crystal encrusted mini dresses that would make any head turn and ended in colorful, long, silk evening dresses  decorated with marabou feathers, and at the very end with the 3 final amazing ball gowns.By using bright, shocking colors in designing the evening dresses Richmond definitely achieved the eye-popping effect.Milena was closing the final of the show with an amazing black, long ball gown embroided with black roses with the matching heavy necklace.The show was both dramatic and entertaining with every piece of the collection.
Richmond as usual perfectly adapted his most classic and iconic garments to the new shapes and patterns.
