Vera Wang is one of the designers who doesn’t need to be introduced. The Spring 2012 collection that she presented yesterday during New York Fashion Week at Lincoln Center is definitely one of our favourite!
She courageously mixed casual style with subtle elegance. The collection includes tunics, vests, shorts, trailing long skirts and dresses, all designed from flimsy fabrics with prints, which she described as a “trippy” distortion of Marie Antoinette’s wallpaper (Vogue).
Dominating colours are classic and rather simple: white, black and pastels, which makes the collection very transparent. Nevertheless, some lively yellow pieces couldn’t remain unnoticed.
Such a fresh, clean, feminine - simply tasty collection!
